1. Make a one hour appointment on 1300 550 095 or directly at your local Skills Stores to meet with a friendly consultant to talk about your current skills and complete a self assessment.
2. See where your self assessment fits into a nationally recognised qualification and discover where the Recognition of Prior Learning can be completed.
3. Decide if you wish to go ahead and your consultant will give you a personal referral to a Registered Training Organisation to have those skills formally assessed.

What do you need to do?

To demonstrate what you know and can do, you will need to provide evidence that shows that you can competently meet the learning outcomes of the qualification you would like to achieve. This evidence may be in the form of:

• A face-to-face interview
• A practical skills test or workplace assessment
• A portfolio that may include:
• Documents, photos, audio or video that can demonstrate your ability to perform certain skills
• Previous qualifications
• Letters from employers, or position descriptions that identify the skills you have built up over time.
