Landscape Landscape

The Landscape Industry is a diverse horticultural industry found throughout Australia. There is a wide range of landscapers in the industry. Some focus on hard scope, or structural construction, which is often linked to the construction industry. Others focus on soft works with a more eclectic approach to plant use and garden development. Three diverse areas of study are Landscape construction, Landscape Design and Landscape architecture.

Why choose Landscape Trade or Design?
It’s a great opportunity to work outdoors, giving sense of pride creating interesting gardens and features.

Landscape Trade – Landscape is a growing industry because of busier lifestyles and increased exposure on TV shows. People are more and more paying landscapers to ‘make over’ older gardens or brand new outdoor living environments. The industry is regulated and only qualified trades people are legally allowed to operate landscape businesses.

Landscape Design – If creating beautiful landscapes interests you but you prefer to be involved with the planning and management. It often suits people with experience in the industry with a desire to step away from the tools into a more office or home based lifestyle.

Where it might lead?
Landscape career opportunities may include positions such as Laborer, apprentice, tradesperson, supervisor, owner of a business, Designer/Consultant, technician for landscape architect and architects.
