Arboriculture

Arboriculture is the art, science, technology and business of tree care. Arboriculture looks at the culture of trees, from growth to maturity including pruning, maintenance and removal if necessary. Arborists are trained to promote tree health, culture of trees, discern tree problems and take measures to correct them. This stream of study involves exciting subjects such as tree identification, climbing and aerial rescue.

If you like working outdoors, improving the environment, and physical and mental challenges, then explore a career in arboriculture. Arboriculture is a growing industry with a high demand for trained workers.

Where it might lead?
Arborists are employed by councils and private contractors. Many qualified arborist’s start their own business’s or end up in tree management positions.
