The Workplace Industry Training group offers the following services for your business training and development needs:

Trainees & Apprentices:  You have decided to take on a Trainee or Apprentice, you know what you want them to learn but you are not sure how to go about it? We will work with you to develop the training plan, including the types of training (e.g. on-the-job, at TAFE, combination of both), and the assessment tools required. We will monitor the Trainee/Apprentice’s progress and in partnership with you, assist to help the process provide a positive outcome.

Skill set development:  We will work with you to identify and document the skills that your employees/staff are required to have in their positions.

Career pathway development:  Develop a structure that defines the skills that your employees/staff will require in the future to maintain your competitive advantage.

Skill audits & training needs analysis:  We can review the skills that your employees currently have and identify any training that is required to address any gaps.

Development of skill assessment tools:  We can customise assessment tools for use in determining the skills that your employees have, or are trying to obtain.

Development of training resources:  You know the skills your business needs, you know how the work should be done, and you want to be able to communicate this to others. We can assist by developing training packages/resources that suit your needs and are specific to your business.

Recognition of prior learning:  You and your employees have the skills to work effectively but may not have any formal qualification to reflect this. We can help to get the recognition of these skills and advise if any further action is required to obtain a qualification.

Alignment of skills to the qualification framework:  You know the skills required for your business, you know which skills your employees have, but you are not sure how they stack up against the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). We can help by aligning your skills against the framework and recommend action to address any shortcomings

Position description development:  We will help you to define and document the scope (including roles, responsibilities, and required skills) of the positions within your business.

New employee induction/programmes:  We can assist you with the development of induction programmes that meet the needs of your business; and if you want, we can arrange to deliver the induction training. This is ideal for the organisation that has limited resources and would like to be more formal/consistent with their induction process.
