Alyce Woods (Melbourne)Diploma of Broadcasting
‘It was a big decision to move from Melbourne to study broadcasting at Wodonga TAFE. I did really well in VCE and received an offer into University, however, I thought the Wodonga TAFE course offered more practical skills and training for a career in radio. Since arriving I haven’t regretted my decision. Wodonga TAFE has its own broadcasting licence and radio station 87.8FM. As part of the course we produce our own radio show each week. I have gained practical on-air experience and in addition made contacts within the radio industry. Next year, I plan to study communication and broadcast journalism at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst. My career goal is to be a broadcast journalist and I am well on my way to achieving this.’ |
