‘Three years ago I made the decision to make a tree change and gave up my IT position in Melbourne and said goodbye to the corporate rat race. I had family living in Yackandandah and was lucky enough to find employment as an apprentice gardener at Wodonga TAFE. I completed my training in horticulture and I am now employed as the on-site property supervisor and live on campus. The training at Wodonga TAFE opened new doors for me and I haven’t looked back since I made the decision to change career paths. I enjoyed the informal teaching style and was impressed by the expertise and knowledge of the staff in the Agriculture/Horticulture department. I have received a great deal of support and I am really enjoying my lifestyle change.’
