Wodonga TAFE pathways may be an option for you …

Studying at Wodonga TAFE is about learning the skills and obtaining the experience to make the successful transition into the workforce as well as helping people achieve their goals in everyday life. Our courses are designed to provide you with realistic workplace experiences which often involve industry work placements or training in simulated environments. Many courses also allow you to do training on the job.

Students are able to complete Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects at secondary school then articulate to Wodonga TAFE. The chart Recognition of Prior Experience for VET Articulated Pathways (PDF - 611 Kb) lists recognised pathways between VCE/VET Programs in schools, Wodonga TAFE and local tertiary providers. Successful completion of the school programs will give direct credit into their chosen pathway at Wodonga TAFE. Please note in some courses there may be compulsory or third party entry requirements.

A qualification from Wodonga TAFE can lead to further study choices if required, as formal defined pathways exist between Wodonga TAFE and university that make it possible for students to move from TAFE to the university sector.

Credit Transfer (CT) and Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) may allow students to complete higher education courses in a shorter duration and at a reduced cost. We also have integrated courses with local universities, for example, Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation at Wodonga TAFE with a Degree in Adventure Ecotourism at Charles Sturt University.

University graduates also have the opportunity to use the Wodonga TAFE pathway after completing their university study. This may be to obtain hands-on experience and links to industry in order to improve their job prospects.

Course codes are the same across all States, and TAFE qualifications are recognised nationally, allowing you to benefit from your Wodonga TAFE qualification anywhere in Australia. Learner Services at Wodonga TAFE can advise you on defined pathways between the TAFE and University sectors. Contact Learner Services by phone on (02) 6055 6606 or email ls@wodonga.tafe.edu.au
