Eating at TAFE

Wodonga TAFE offers several food and beverage options on campus for students and staff alike to suit most budgets and tastes. 

Food on Campus
Food on Campus offers eat in or take away hot and cold meals, snacks, drinks, cakes, vegetarian and health food options and can be found on the ground floor of Building A.  Food on Campus is a convenient place to meet friends and catch up with all the latest news. 

Call in and talk to the friendly staff if you need more information or a snack.

Opening Hours during semester
Open for breakfast from 7.30am, lunch and dinner until 8pm.

During term break 
10am - 3pm.


Midway Café at The Hangar
Midway Café at The Hangar is the hub of student social interaction for both Wodonga TAFE and La Trobe University students.  Located in the Student Association building 'The Hangar' on University Drive, the Midway Café is a food co-op offering an affordable range of food and a meeting place for students in a social environment.  The Hangar is also a popular venue for many O Week activities, student barbecues and is used for a number of Wodonga TAFE department graduations.  It can also be booked for private and student functions.

The Midway Café is usually open from Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm, Friday 9am to 2pm, however during exam and holiday periods hours of operation are limited.  The Midway Cafe offers a range of hot and cold food including pies, fried foods and fresh sandwiches made as you wait.  They also have a changing daily menu offering hot 'Main meals'.  A new addition to the menu is takeaway salads that change daily.

The Midway Café is operated by the Student Association of Wodonga TAFE, the hospitality students of La Trobe University and staff members.


The Valleys Restaurant
The Valleys Restaurant offers a unique dining experience on campus as the restaurant provides a training ground for the Wodonga TAFE hospitality students, giving valuable experience in kitchen and front of house operations as they work towards their career goals. A variety of service styles within the restaurant enhances a diversity of menu and cuisine while still at a price you’ll find refreshingly affordable. The Valleys Training Restaurant is open on nominated weekdays for lunch and dinner.  If you’re looking for a different dining experience, come to The Valleys, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
